Tonosawa Onsen was discovered in 1605 by a wood-eating monk named Danshoku Shonin, and has prospered as one of the seven hot springs in Hakone since the Edo period (1603-1868), healing many travelers with its abundant, clear and colorless water.
At our inn, the private spring "Tonosawa no Yu", which is pumped up from 300 meters below ground on the premises, is poured into the baths of the four baths and the guest room open-air bath, including the elegant open-air bath.
